Music Recording: 'It's Hard to Speak My Heart from 'Parade'

'Parade' is based on the true story of Leo Frank, Superintendent of a factory in Atlanta, Georgia who in 1913 was convicted and imprisoned for the murder of 13 year old employee Mary Phagan. Evidence of Frank's guilt was never concrete and there was much suspicion around other individuals connected with the factory. The musical 'Parade' presents Frank as a shy and introverted scapegoat, exploring anti-Semitism and bigotry as well as the strength of love against all the odds, with a tragic conclusion.

During the murder trial, Leo makes his own statement, revealing how hard it is 'to speak his heart'.

Many thanks to Joe Lammond who helped me record the songs. You can listen to Joe's music at http://soundcloud.com/joe-lammond
